Firemonger

After some initial problems, the Firemonger project is now finally ready. The goal of the project is to create CD images which contain Firefox and which users can download, burn and give away to friends and family. The first CD is now available and includes Firefox, Thunderbird and various plugins, extensions and themes.

I’ve been involved in the design of the website and the documentation pages of the CD. I’ve also created the logo of the project:

20041115-firemonger

BTW, we’re still looking for mirrors of the CD. If you have some bandwidth you can share, please let us know.

http://www.firemonger.org looks good but not the forum site because of that tribalink logo and the site combination of colors.

well… since I can’t find any contact in this site and firemonger.com, I decide to post here…

I have enough disk space and bandwith (8Gigs /month) to mirror firemonger’s site. Contact me for further details. Tell me what information you want and what can I do for firemonger

I am happy to serve ;-)

Is a dot.mac account worth mirroring on? Probably not given the bandwidth limits, but let me know!

If anybody wants to mirror you can post in the Forum on Firemonger.org or you can email me at jmweirick@firemonger.org

You could also toss around a bittorrent version to save on bandwidth :)

Good stuff! I made 10 copies and took them to school. I gave one to our computer resource specialist and now I have no copies. Great idea to create the ISO. Thanks

How about creating a couple of CD covers for people to download, print off, and stick to their new Firemonger CDs?

I’ve created one for my own purposes, but if anyone wants it, contact me at drbob2@tomjepp.co.uk :-D

I just mailed to serve as firemonger mirror, and to Philip Withnall to make some covers.

    Love this blog, btw.
